Council Of Employees
The Council of Employees is an elected, permanent, and autonomous representative body of “SP Group” Refinery employees. In 2011, the employees of the refinery founded the Council on their own initiative. The Council is a non-profit organization.
The major goal of the Council’s formation is to organize and actualize social cooperation in the field of labor at “SP Group” Refinery.
The Council’s major tasks have been set in accordance with the principal purpose:
elaboration of organizational, economic, and social measures aimed at stimulating the employee’s creative initiative in enterprise activities;
-elaboration of organizational, economic, and social measures aimed at stimulating the employee’s creative initiative in enterprise activities;
-organization and holding mass cultural and sports events;
-Participation in the resolution of labor issues, both with the employer and inside the collective;
-inspection of the status and organization of the enterprise’s workers’ safety, life, and health;
-monitoring officers’ compliance with industrial safety requirements;
-interaction with the employer on labor remuneration and material and non-material stimulation;
-support labor and executive discipline by strengthening collective bargaining on behalf of enterprise employees;
-study of employees’ needs and interests;
-measures aimed at forming a constructive atmosphere of interaction and collaboration within the labor collective and its separate parts.
To fulfill the set tasks, the Council is given the following authorities:
-Employees’ interests in areas of organization, protection, remuneration, material and non-material stimulation of labor, and protection of the employee’s legal interests in labor disputes are represented in contacts with the employer.
-giving recommendations and participating in mutual dialogues with the employer on matters concerning the establishment of local normative acts and plans for the enterprise’s social and economic development;
-participation and acting as a go-between in business relations with public organizations, representing employees’
-interests for the purpose of constructive interaction and the creation of a normal moral and psychological climate in the work collective;
-participation in discussions of matters of material and technical support and the provision of equipment;
-participation in the work of commissions for labor safety, sanitary norms observation, and workplace assessment;
-control over allocating benefits and rewards in accordance with the relevant legislation and the Collective Agreement.
The Council now has 21 members and is divided into five commissions: the Labor Safety and Social Administration Commission, the Labour Dispute Resolution Commission, the Sporting Events Commission, and the Youth and Cultural Events Commission. The commissions mentioned above take into account matters pertaining to the work and free time of firm employees.
