The Refinery's key advantage is its highly professional personnel, which is determined to operate efficiently in today's demanding reality.

“SP Group” is one of the Kazakhstan Republic’s employers. The Company’s average headcount in 2021 was 81,100, a 2.7% reduction from 2020. The staffing dynamics are explained by changes in “SP Group” perimeter as a result of asset portfolio optimization.

Employees’ average age grew by 0.2 years to 40.8 years. 10.3 thousand persons held managerial roles in 2021. In 2021, the proportion of employees classified as “managers” was 3.3% of the overall workforce. In 2021, staff turnover was 5%. The personnel turnover rate in 2021 was 5%.

The proportion of female employees in the Company remained almost steady at 12.8%. At the end of 2021, the share of women among managers was 11.2%, while the share of women among top managers and executives in Group Subsidiaries was more than 4%.

Enhancement of HR practices to guarantee employees' labour rights

The improvement of HR processes is critical in reducing the chances of violations of employees’ labor rights. “SP Group” is working systematically to consolidate and automate these processes, as well as to integrate the organizational structures of the functional blocks of the Group Subsidiaries.

Unification and automation

The Company’s primary HR business operations are carried out in accordance with the methodological document “Uniform Corporate Template for Personnel Management, Compensation, and Social Development” (hence – UCT). UCT governs personnel records, timekeeping, organizational administration, the remuneration system, and settlements with employees and others. Despite the limitations imposed by the epidemiological situation, the roll-out of the UCT technique on the basis of corporate IT platforms was continued throughout the reporting year (roll-out was completed at 10 entities).
